THE POSITION
The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing an enterprise wide integrated marketing strategy to drive revenue. This role will lead a team of digital, direct brand marketers in house, and manage supporting agencies in the development of SCI marketing programs. This role will work collaboratively within a decentralized management structure to drive creative and adaptable campaigns at the corporate and field level supporting regional differences. The Head of Marketing will work directly with sales to evolve a lead generation and nurture program that creates better leverage from the sales team. The overall strategy created will drive consumer/customer engagement, measured ROI and efficient use of data. This position reports to the SVP, Sales and Marketing and is an officer of the company.
REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience as an executive leader responsible for marketing services/products to consumers in a distributed network/sales force, multi-state/multi-site models with field/market-based organizations
  • Expert in designing integrated data-driven marketing/lead generation program strategy based on use of marketing technology that enables constant measurement and optimization
  • Experience gathering and utilizing Voice of Consumer data and research in
    marketing program design
  • Some experience in marketing to women as a key decision-maker and influencer
  • Experience in leveraging the digital channel as a portal for customers to receive information before purchasing, building brand construction and capturing leads
  • Proven multi-channel marketing background with a strong emphasis on integrating digital marketing and technology to drive lead generation for large sales forces and to foster customer engagement
  • Must have extensive experience leading the development and design of performance marketing teams of 20+ as an executive
  • Proven ability to drive consensus and partnership in a decentralized operating model
  • Must be an executive level problem-solver capable of leveraging resources across
    multiple functions to solicit input from stakeholders and develop simple and concise solutions to complex problems
  • Must possess a high level of emotional intelligence capable of working closely with a
    broad selection of teams and constituents simultaneously

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participates in and drives strategy as the primary stakeholder in the development of an integrated, data-driven marketing program across the enterprise
  • Responsible for improving measurable and repeatable results across the enterprise in accordance with stated company goals
  • Works closely with Executive stakeholders to maintain and improve the current brand positioning
  • Manage and evolve marketing team to become a high performing organization with a service, results-oriented culture
  • Builds enterprise wide integrated marketing programs that span the customer journey based on data driven consumer insights that are utilized to drive lead generation, cross/up sell opportunities
  • Responsible for continuous evolution of the enterprises digital marketing strategy, including 2000 websites to further improve SEO
  • Responsible for managing campaign optimization via teams assigned to specific channels of distribution (performance marketing, digital marketing, brand marketing).
  • Responsible for building marketing products/programs and supporting processes that can be distributed in a scaled environment for approximately 2,000+ locations in 100 markets across North America
  • Responsible for managing the interaction and effectiveness of agencies that design
    and build marketing programs or place media
  • Performs marketing, messaging, packaging and campaign research with both
    consumer and the field audiences to ensure success of programs
  • Drives the development of new insights from data and leverages those insights into actionable/operationalized programs

  • Works closely with sales, field executives and operations to ensure alignment and implementation
  • Leverages knowledge of all types of media and consumer behavior to develop
    marketing mix allocation for multiple segments of our clients with differing strategies
    and target consumers.
  • Drives the utilization and optimization of data and our technology platforms to scale programs while building programs that reside on these platforms and deliver desired program margin
  • Manages day-to-day activities associated with all consumer marketing efforts,
    including, project management, creative development, cross-functional
    implementation, campaign tracking and reporting as necessary
  • Assists with financial projections and budgeting process
  • Manages brand guidelines to ensure all vendors and internal audiences follow them
    and update them as necessary
  • Provides on-going development, coaching and performance feedback for direct
    reports
